Course Summary

The goal of this course is to help assessors and others involved in the Enhanced Standardized Assessment (ESA) process understand Children and Youth Mental Health Treatment Act (CYMHTA) specific requirements for completing an ESA. This course also describes the role that ESAs play in accessing funding for behavioral health treatment through CYMHTA.


Learning Objectives

Upon successful completion of this course, you will be able to:

  1. Describe the Children and Youth Mental Health Treatment Act, more commonly known as CYMHTA.
  2. Explain how CYMHTA helps children and youth and their families in Colorado access critical behavioral health services.
  3. Explain the role that the Enhanced Standardized Assessment (ESA) plays in accessing these behavioral health services through CYMHTA.
