Course Summary
This course is designed to enhance the knowledge and skills of behavioral health professionals in delivering evidence-based treatments (EBTs) to youth and families. This training provides an overview of the principles and benefits of EBTs, describes strategies for overcoming barriers to using EBTs in community practice, and introduces recommended EBTs for common youth mental health concerns.
Learning Objectives
Upon successful completion of this course, you will be able to:
- Recognize the key principles of EBTs and the benefits of their use when treating youth mental health concerns.
- Identify steps you can take to incorporate EBTs into your practice.
- Select the recommended EBTs for common youth mental health concerns.
Learning Audience
The learners for this training are behavioral health service providers, social workers, counselors, peer support specialists, and other professionals who support individuals with substance use and behavioral health conditions.
Continuing Education Credits
This course is eligible for Continued Education Units (CEU) upon completion, which are awarded as follows:
- 1 CEU credit awarded per (1) hour of completed learning
