Course Summary
What happens when the challenges commonly linked to aging are intensified by cognitive decline? As the population of older adults continues to grow, behavioral health providers are increasingly responsible for caring for individuals with neurodegenerative diseases and symptoms of cognitive impairment and their caregivers or families. This course provides a thorough overview of various neurodegenerative conditions, outlining their clinical presentations, symptom progression, and effects on mental health and behavior, as well as the significance of interprofessional collaboration.
