Course Summary
This course helps the learner to recognize the impact of trauma on health and apply trauma informed care principles to interactions with patients regardless of disclosure. It is designed to develop trauma informed care practices with stressful events and increase confidence in applying trauma informed care principles to all patient interactions.

Learning Audience
In the Trauma-Informed Care module, learners delve into the multifaceted impact of trauma and its interconnectedness with despair, crisis, and behavioral health disorders.
Through this course, learners develop a profound understanding of trauma-informed care principles and the integrative trauma and healing framework, enabling them to respond effectively to individuals in crisis. Furthermore, learners gain insight into secondary traumatic stress and other forms of work-related stress, equipping them with strategies to enhance their own resilience.
