An overview of changes to provider licensure, approval, and endorsement, how these changes align with policy reform, including the expansion of the behavioral health safety net, and how to transition to the new requirements.

Learning Objectives

Upon completing this material, learners will be able to:

1. Summarize several reasons why the state is moving to new safety net rules, licensure, and safety net approvals and the intended benefits to the behavioral health system.​
2. Determine how their organization fits with licensure and approval changes. ​
3. Explain the different levels of licensure and approvals, frequently used acronyms, and general rule requirements and map their current services to the new licensure and approval opportunities. ​
