Course Summary

This course is designed for healthcare professionals committed to improving youth mental health outcomes through enhanced diagnostic skills. Throughout this course, you'll gain in-depth knowledge of diagnostic practices and developmental considerations, appreciate the critical importance of accurate diagnostics, and learn about various approaches to mental health evaluations tailored specifically for young patients.

  1. Describe prevalence rates of common mental health diagnoses in youth.
  2. Explain developmental considerations that should be incorporated into assigning mental health diagnoses to youth.
  3. Outline key information about symptom presentation that should be gathered during a clinical interview.
